Book One -The Gate | 00-Prologue

PROLOGUE

A full-developed city with tall buildings and aircrafts flying above it looked alive with lights glittering everywhere. The biggest city in the world, the city that never sleep they said. However one thing about it was, this city was hidden, protected by ancient magic. In a small corner up in a section of the city was a big mansion with simple design but elegant, never disturbed by anything.

Beyond the entrance was a long hall with two staircases on left and right joining up again on the second floor with balustrades made from oak. Oval casements attached on the wall that enable something to be seen clearly from inside out. At the end of the staircases was a mechanical iron door that led to a hall separated into two parts and formed a circle that led to the north tower.. Rooms were divided in each part and from the middle of each path was another passage to the east and west tower that was forbidden for anyone to enter.

From the north tower someone walked out wearing a full set of armor who seemed to be ready for war. Moonlight glittered pass the windows, lightened up that man as he walked.along the corridor, radiating his armor in the dark passage. An iron sword was fixed tightly on his back. The sound of his boots clanked as he stepped his feet. He walked through the west passage and went down to the first floor. He went pass the hall that separated the staircase and at the end was another door. The door opened up and there was a small room with a stair going underground. Small cabinet and a portrait hang on the wall. He went don again and below, an aircraft was waiting, ready to launch. SOmeone else was standing near and entered the aircraft when he saw the armored man coming.

The aircraft's door closed and then its engine started. it took a while to heat p the it began to float and move forward. It went through an underground tunnel and then flew outside. They were heading to where their queen was waiting. They began to discuss some strategies, one that would make their enemies surrendered once and for all.

"What do you think they will do or what strategies they will use now considering this is the grand finale?" said the armored man.

"They will use everything they have and so would we. We must not hold back."

" I agree. The day has finally come when a mother and a son fight each other. It is a dangerous thing when ambition has overcome someone's mind."
